The Town of Charleston does not provide rubbish or recycling pick-up. Residents and property owners can take advantage of the following options. (Please notify the town office of any additional resources–we appreciate updates.)

(Bagged household trash can also be dropped off — as of April 2021, $4.50 for 30-gal bag.)

Charleston residents also purchase bags to drop off rubbish at transfer stations in neighboring towns, including Brighton and Morgan. Call the town directly for details. Brighton 723-4405. Morgan 895-2927.

Northeast Kingdom Waste Management District (NEKWMD), Lyndonville, 626-3532
Sorted recycling can be dropped off at the Lyndonville facility, 224 Church Street, on Wednesday from 8am – 4pm and Saturdays from 8am – 3pm. NEKWMD sorting guidelines and information
A private hauler, Got Trash, parks at the site and accepts bagged rubbish for a fee based on bag size.
